Au cours des années, ils ont tendance à migrer vers l'ouest. Les Pinets sur la côte Sud du bas Saint Laurent et les Savard sur la côte Nord, ont également plusieurs ancêtres communs et un passé consacré surtout à l'agriculture. Au cours des années, ils migrent vers l'est sur leur rives respectives du St Laurent.

The grandparents of Louise, Andrée, and Francine define the 4 Quarters of this genealogy. Because of their different geographical locations, these 4 Quarters represent different populations and ways of life. The Brunet/Brunette on the West-End of Montreal Island and the Primeau in Châteauguay share many family ties and a past in the fur trade and then in agriculture. Over the years, they tended to move west. The Pinet on the South Shore of the lower St Lawrence River and the Savard on the North Shore also have several common ancestors and a common past as farmers. Over the years, they migrated east on their respective shores of the River.
